Last Thursday 13th of June took place at Hotel Cabenda, Freetown, the first MPLS workshop organized by the new ISP company in Sierra Leone, SISCO (Saimo Information Systems Company)
The event started at 09:00 with some coffee and tea while the attendees were arriving and identified.
Albert Salvà, from the engineering team and CISCO certified, leaded the 3 hours MPLS Workshop. He started with a short introduction about MPLS, followed by the benefits of implementing this kind of technology. He also talked about how MPLS works in ISP network and how the customer site improves the customer service. Albert finished the workshop with some typical scenarios and some real cases.
SISCO event brought together 32 both regional and international IT managers of Freetown. The final networking with some African and continental food lunch made attendees introduce themselves.
